Communicate regularly with the Statewide Open Education Program
Director on project status and issues.
Prioritize equity, diversity, and inclusion in decision-making
and communication; contribute to a welcoming and inclusive work
culture.
Plan and advocate for sustainable continuation of statewide OER
grant project management support. Understand the federal and state
funding process and communicate with relevant agencies,
representatives, and college and university personnel.
Lead regularly scheduled meetings with grant stakeholders to
manage development, implementation, and evaluation
activities.
Monitor technology quality and integration between platforms
and services deployed in grant projects.
Collaborate with RMC research and institutional research units
to evaluate and report on grant impact; manage secure collection
and storage of student data.
Recommend to the Statewide Open Education Program Director
improvements, efficiencies, and efforts that contribute to the
goals of grants; assist with implementation and assessment of
improvements.
Based on project data, recommend future directions for projects
beyond grant periods.
Monitor and approve project expenditures for each grant.
Prepare internal and required external reports for each
grant.
Ensure compliance with regulations and policies for all grants
overseen.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is generally performed in an office environment with minimal
exposure to health or safety hazards. The successful candidate may
work remotely but must live in Oregon. Work pressures, frequent
interruptions, disturbances of workflow, and/or irregularities in
work schedules are expected and occur on a frequent basis.
Considerable time is spent working on the computer. Minimal
physical exertion is required. No special coordination beyond that
used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and
materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily. Must be able
to use a computer and communicate effectively with a wide variety
of individuals. The job requires travel to community colleges and
universities within the state of Oregon, spending multiple days on
each trip, with potential for out-of-state travel.
Education and Experience
- Requires a BA/BS degree.
- Two years of experience working in project coordination.
- One year experience in grant administration or management for
higher education, a public agency, or nonprofit organization
including monitoring grant activities and ensuring compliance is
required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of grant administration, compliance requirements, and
related methods and practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical rules, regulations,
policies, and guidelines related to grants.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and
problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot
technology and workflow issues and meet established deadlines.
- Knowledge of issues related to open education, open textbooks,
copyright, intellectual property, and equity, diversity, and
inclusion in higher education.
- Ability to apply flexibility, resourcefulness, and creative
problem-solving to address unique or complex challenges while
considering the statewide context.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
skills, with a high degree of personal integrity and the ability to
work effectively with culturally, socioeconomically, and
geographically diverse faculty, students, staff, and other
stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare, monitor, and manage budgets.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects
simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines and
deliverables.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with grant stakeholders, external agencies, partner
organizations, faculty, staff, and other collaborators.
- Proficiency with word processing, database, spreadsheet, and
online research tools.

Information Regarding the Salary Placement Process:
LBCC is committed to the principles of Oregon Pay Equity.
Management/Exempt starting salaries typically fall below mid-point
of the range and are dependent on experience. The 2026-27 starting
salary range for this position is $74,152 – $100,323 for a 248-day
schedule.

Grant Project
Coordinator position, you will be given the opportunity to

Based on the direct and/or indirect experience provided, the salary
regression analysis will be calculated to place you in relation to
others at the college with a similar level of experience and
responsibility.
