Job Description
Responsible for supporting the development and writing of high-quality, highly competitive proposals that are submitted to external agencies for sponsored funding.
Job Duties
- Co-write and co-develop proposals for funding to be submitted to private and public sponsors.
- Create, co-create, and implement workshops and trainings in grantsmanship, in collaboration with Research Development colleagues and other campus stakeholders.
- Collaborate with campus stakeholders who support the research enterprise.
- Communicate clearly and openly with team members on shared workload to ensure coverage and eliminate duplicated efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
- Three to five years of full-time writing experience (excluding the writing of web content and social media content).
- Advanced writing, editing, and oral communication skills needed for presentations, trainings, and meetings.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and collaborative endeavors.
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
- Five years of full-time grant writing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and synthesize faculty research.
- Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, and evaluating trainings and workshops for professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
