Job Summary

The Greeter will provide information and direction to student, faculty, staff and visitors entering our campus.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Prior security experience would be helpful

Essential Job Functions

• Stop and greet every person entering our campus politely
• Request proper identification on everyone entering campus
• Make reports to shift supervisor on security violations
• Report all suspicious activity to the shift supervisor
• Assist with parking enforcement when required
• Assist with traffic control when required
• Provide written reports when required

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma
• Must have basic computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Experience in educational environment would be helpful

Licensing and Certifications

• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements

Work in noisy (above 85 decibels) areas

Sedentary Work - Exerting 10 pounds

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds

Medium Work - Exerting 20-50 pounds

Heavy Work - Exerting 50-100 pounds

Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds
