Marketing Officer: CRM and Campaigns (HEO 5)

- Starting salary: $76,304 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing Coordinator: CRM and Marketing Automation, you will be responsible for the creation, implementation and delivery of direct marketing and campaign materials and communications, as well assisting in the effective delivery of the broad range of communications activities. You will be responsible for automated marketing campaign delivery including assisting with elements including electronic direct mail (eDM) content development and creation, SMS content and scheduling, data segmentation and tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and database including testing and troubleshooting.
About the Communication and Marketing Unit and Digital Marketing Team
The Communications and Marketing Unit’s (CMK) role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance the understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.
The Digital Marketing team manage UniSA’s online profile and customer engagement through a variety of digital channels, platforms and applications. The team is responsible for several key bodies of work: the University’s corporate web presence; marketing automation, systems and CRM; digital marketing analytics and search engine marketing. Key responsibilities include: the unisa.edu.au website and staff and student portal applications via content management systems (CMS); paid search SEO and CRO; CRM suite and marketing automation; and social media and digital content. The Digital Marketing team is responsible for the University’s digital analytics, reporting and customer behaviour analysis. The team works closely with wider Communications and Marketing Unit staff on the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience, in marketing, communications, digital or disciplines relevant to the position
- Experience working with databases and relational customer relationship management systems, particularly with knowledge relating to the management of customer data
- Excellent organisational and project management skills including the ability to prioritise between conflicting demands and to meet deadlines in a complex environment
- Demonstrated experience briefing and implementing marketing communications, activities and content working with external creative agencies, suppliers and designers
- Experience preparing marketing materials and content, with particular reference to direct, digital, eDM and print (such as marketing flyers), using tools including CMS, Adobe Indesign and Photoshop, and a base understanding of HTML
- Proven interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills and experience in providing a consultancy service to stakeholders from diverse workgroups
- Experience analysing and interpreting marketing campaign data and statistics and preparing marketing reports
