Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for leading, managing, and providing comprehensive athletic training services for the College of DuPage Department of Athletics. This includes oversight of all aspects of sports medicine, such as injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, education, emergency care, and administrative operations.

• Provide and manage athletic training services for all College of DuPage athletic programs.
• Schedule and coordinate medical coverage for practices, home contests, and selected away competitions.
• Supervise and manage all athletic training staff.
• Oversee the sports medicine budget.
• Educate coaches and student-athletes on health and wellness topics.
• Compile, organize, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Serve as the primary liaison with team physicians.
• Coordinate and facilitate Department of Athletics drug testing programs.
• Maintain and annually update the Department's Emergency Action Plan.
• Ensure full compliance with NJCAA, Title IX, and College policies.
• Maintain the athletic training calendar.
• Participate in department meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree from a CAATE accredited athletic training program required.
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of Athletic Training in a collegiate setting.
• Licenses and Certifications: ATC Credential by BOC; CPR/AED/BLS training.
• COD Training: AED/CPR Training, Blood Borne Pathogens, College compliance training.

Hiring Range:
