Job Description

1. Help keep the Damon Fitness Center looking clean and things in working area.
2. Lifeguard a minimum of 25 hours a week.
3. Schedule lifeguarding hours for the staff.
4. Maintain pool clarity and cleanliness on the deck.
5. Maintain the surrounding area by pressure washing.
6. Maintain the pump room (backwashing, chemicals, filters, etc.)
7. Record the readings daily of the pump room (temperature, Ph level, chlorine level).
8. Check for safety in and around the pool.
9. Work the front desk when needed.
10. Provide information, directions, and any additional help that credit and non-credit students may have.
11. Provide the Fitness Center Director with assistance in monitoring the day to day usage of the facilities by students, faculty, staff, and community members.
12. Forward work/repair request as needed.
13. Promote the Damon Fitness Center activities and encourage community involvement.
14. Support recruitment efforts and encourage enrollment at MCC.
15. Provide instruction on the use of the treadmills, AMT, and elliptical trainers as needed.
16. Give tours of the facility as requested.

Proficient in Swimming

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
