Salary Basis: Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all aspects of the softball program.
- Recruit, retain, and develop student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
- Plan and conduct practices, skill development sessions, and team training activities.
- Prepare for and manage competition, including game strategy, scouting, and player evaluation.
- Supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and support staff, including scheduling and performance oversight.
- Coordinate team travel, scheduling, equipment, and operational logistics.
- Manage and monitor program budgets and related financial activities.
- Support fundraising, alumni engagement, and community outreach initiatives.
- Organize and oversee camps, clinics, and other program-related events.
- Promote academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being of student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, alumni, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with athletics administration and campus partners to support departmental goals and initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Demonstrated coaching, leadership, and organizational skills
Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and NCAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred
Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred
Experience in recruiting, program administration, and student-athlete development
Working knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations
