Head Women's Soccer Coach
The Women’s Soccer Head Coach at Gardner-Webb University is responsible for the administration, supervision and management of his or her intercollegiate sport within the parameters of the rules and regulations of Gardner-Webb University.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the development and implementation of intercollegiate program
- Reports to the Vice President for Athletics / Director of Athletics and is charged with the concurrence of the Athletic Director, with the selection, supervision and retention of the Assistant Coaches.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a successful recruitment program of prospective student-athletes.
- Responsible for facilitating an atmosphere conducive to the continued academic and the athletic success of student-athletes, and for monitoring the academic programs of team members.
- Required to be present at all team practices and games and to create an appropriate practice and game plan aimed at developing and preparing the team for successful competition.
- Responsible for such administrative tasks as maintaining rosters, scheduling practices and games, keeping team statistics, monitoring and supervising the condition and maintenance of team facilities, organizing and administering tournaments or events, and making travel/lodging arrangements.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years coaching experience at the NCAA level
- Valid driver’s license, and eligibility to drive a college van.
- BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Effective communication, interpersonal and public relation skills
- Athletic recruitment experience strongly preferred
