Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Randolph-Macon College, a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. This is a full-time 12-month position and will have responsibilities for organizing and administering all aspects of the Lacrosse program.
Responsibilities:
- Primary duties involve establishing game plans, evaluating player and staff needs, designing and implementing practice schedules and conditioning programs, and supervising the work of assistant coaches
- Providing hands-on instruction to athletes and motivating them to perform to their full potential; making game decisions and constructing a competitive schedule
- Recruiting players and staff, conducting post-game evaluations, monitoring academic progress and eligibility
- Coordinating travel arrangements and monitoring budget expenditures
- Developing strategies and working with Athletic Development staff on team related fundraising and promoting good public relations through various college organizations and activities
- Position involves substantial travel during recruiting periods
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Head coaching experience or significant assistant coaching experience at the collegiate level
- Understanding of the Division III philosophy of athletics and commitment to academics are essential
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record by insurance standards
