Health and Physical Education and Coaching Instructor
HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND COACHING INSTRUCTOR
Bridgewater College, Nolen School and the Department of Health and Human Science invite applications for a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track instructor in Health & Human Science beginning August 17, 2026.
We’re seeking a health and physical education educator with K–12 teaching and coaching experience who can bring practical, real-world insight into the classroom and prepare students for careers in education, health, and coaching.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Teach undergraduate courses in health and physical education and coaching
- Connect coursework to real-world K–12 and coaching environments
- Advise, mentor, and support students pursuing education and coaching careers
- Contribute to program development and continuous improvement
- Participate in departmental service and campus committees
- Support student recruitment and engagement efforts
WHAT YOU BRING
- M.Ed. or related degree
- Licensed K–12 teaching experience
- Coaching experience in a school or related setting
- Ability to translate practical experience into effective teaching
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to student-centered learning
PREFERRED:
- Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education or related field
- Prior college-level teaching experience
