HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND COACHING INSTRUCTOR

Bridgewater College, Nolen School and the Department of Health and Human Science invite applications for a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track instructor in Health & Human Science beginning August 17, 2026.

We’re seeking a health and physical education educator with K–12 teaching and coaching experience who can bring practical, real-world insight into the classroom and prepare students for careers in education, health, and coaching.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Teach undergraduate courses in health and physical education and coaching
Connect coursework to real-world K–12 and coaching environments
Advise, mentor, and support students pursuing education and coaching careers
Contribute to program development and continuous improvement
Participate in departmental service and campus committees
Support student recruitment and engagement efforts

WHAT YOU BRING

M.Ed. or related degree
Licensed K–12 teaching experience
Coaching experience in a school or related setting
Ability to translate practical experience into effective teaching
Collaborative mindset and commitment to student-centered learning

PREFERRED:

Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education or related field
Prior college-level teaching experience
