"Health Information Technology - Summer 2026 COACH College Program"

The opportunity

The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. Interns will earn $17.50-$21.50/hour.

This role is hybrid (3-4 days/week on-site) at 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston. Specific work hours will be determined by the supervisor.

What you'll do

• Attend relevant clinical informatics team meetings
• Support clinical informatics program related to specific operational and research projects including quantitative and/or qualitative data collection, data cleaning & analysis, and communication with program coordinator, fellows and faculty
• Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
• Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities

Who you are

• You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) is required
• Computer programming and data analysis skills are a plus (R, python, SQL, Excel, SPSS etc).
• Strong communication skills

• Onboarding: Those selected for the internship program will complete onboarding by May to ensure a smooth start to the program. This includes:
  • Scheduling an appointment during one of our on-site onboarding days
  • Obtaining appropriate work permits and documentation, as needed
  • Health records
  • Proof of Employment Eligibility
  • Media release

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
