Higher Education Oracle Technical Consultant Opportunities

If you are a higher education technology professional looking to apply deep Oracle Fusion Cloud or PeopleSoft expertise across a broad range of institutions, Sierra-Cedar’s Higher Education practice offers that opportunity. Our team works with more than 350 colleges and universities nationwide, partnering with them on complex Oracle software implementations where technical skill and sector knowledge both matter.
This combined posting includes four distinct technical consultant roles. Each is a full-time, benefits-eligible position — not a contractor role. All are remote-first with periodic travel to client sites within the United States. Client-facing work is conducted via daily camera-on video meetings. Role 1: Oracle Fusion Cloud SFA/SFP Groovy and/or Java Technical Consultant
This role supports Oracle Student Financial Aid (SFA) and Student Financial Planning (SFP) implementations. Responsibilities include designing and scripting Groovy-based rules, Java extensions, financial aid calculations, validations, recalculation logic, and automated decision flows. The role also includes leading rule-review sessions, facilitating technical workshops, and collaborating with institutional stakeholders.
Role 2: Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM or ERP Technical Integration Lead
This role focuses on developing integrations, reports, and extensions for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM or ERP. Work includes building integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud, REST/SOAP services, FBDI/HDL file processing, and Analytics/BI Publisher extraction. Responsibilities also include designing extensions with Visual Builder and Process Builder.
Role 3: PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Integrations Lead
This position supports PeopleSoft Campus Solutions with emphasis on integration development, reporting, extensions, and customization. Work includes hands-on technical design across Integration Broker (REST/SOAP), Application Engine batch processing, and PeopleTools-based extension methods.
Role 4: PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Technical Fluid and AI Developer or Lead
This role is designed for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions technical professionals exploring emerging technologies such as AI. Responsibilities include technical design and development for integrations, reporting, extensions, and customizations using modern PeopleTools techniques, Fluid UI, and AI-enabled prototypes.
Travel & Work Requirements
This position requires approximately 20%–30% travel to client sites (nationwide) as well as remote work from your home office within the United States only – International locations will not be considered. This full-time role may include working occasional nights and weekends to support project milestones.
