discretion of the Digitization Lab Supervisor. This position
reports directly to the Digitization Lab Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Other requirements:
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, performing
them in a relatively short period of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written
format.
- Computer, software, and writing skills commensurate with the
creation of college level class assignments.
- Physically capable of moving and lifting up to 50lbs. with or
without reasonable accommodation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced computer skills relating to digital scanning hardware
and software.
- Familiarity with metadata standards, particularly Dublin
Core.
- Knowledge of archives theory and practice.
- Familiarity with Excel.
- Interest in western history, photography, and audio-visual (AV)
would be beneficial in this position.
