JOB TITLE:
University of Wyoming Extension Summer Internship
JOB PURPOSE:
University of Wyoming Extension is offering part-time summer internship opportunities for individuals interested in working with Extension programs across the state.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and promote UW Extension projects and events through event assistance, outreach, and general program support.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Pay: $15/hour
- Hours: Up to 19 hours per week
- Duration: 6 weeks (July 6th - August 16, 2026)
- Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Educational Award: $1,250 upon successful completion of the internship
Interns are responsible for securing their own housing for the summer. Selected candidates must successfully complete a University of Wyoming background and motor vehicle check as a condition of employment.
Interns also have the option to enroll in 1-4 academic credits through the University of Wyoming during the internship. The course is listed as: Field Practicum: Ext Work AGRI 4520
Locations & Focus Areas
Internship placements will be based on alignment between applicant interests and available opportunities.

- Teton County 4-H; Community Vitality & Health (CVH)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP and a willingness to drive to and from program locations and events

- Experience working with youth and community members
- Highly dependable and organized
- Strong communication skills
