Receives, sets up, retrieves, maintains, and stores personnel
files in the electronic records management system in accordance
with established policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with
policy regarding the retention, dissemination, access, and storage
of confidential information.
Verifies employment and completes legal inquiries and other
types of requests for employee data. Completes Name/Address Changes
for employees. Enters verified data into Human Resources
Information System ( HRIS ).
Conducts research from hard copy files to compile information
necessary to calculate prior state service.
Assist the Employment unit, primarily the Sr Employment
Specialist, in duties related to the onboarding of new employees.
These duties may include posting job vacancies on the PeopleAdmin
Applicant Tracking system, submitting I-9 documentation for
E-Verify processing, submitting documentation for background check
verification, verifying the completion of submitted new hire
documentation, and/or assisting with New Employee Orientation.
Serves as back-up for the front desk receptionist.
Maintains the Records Unit Master database.
Responds to Texas Workforce Commission claims.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education
Some college or Associate degree (A.A.) and/or vocational or
technical school and/or specialized training or
certification.
Required Licensing/Certification
Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.

Work Experience

hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
