Job Summary

The Human Resources Department at CU Boulder invites applications for an HR Service Center Coordinator on the Staff Approvals team! This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of personnel, position management, payroll, and HCM security processes while ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and operational efficiency across the Boulder campus. The Service Center HR Coordinator serves as a significant resource and advisor to assigned departments on university and staff related personnel and payroll processes. The Service Center HR Coordinator recommends and advises on necessary methods to efficiently expedite all personnel and payroll related issues. This position serves as a significant resource for interpretation and implementation of school, department and university policies and procedures regarding university and classified staff. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will collaborate with the centers of excellence to provide a wide ranging repertoire of HR services to campus constituents.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

HCM Personnel Entry, Position Processing, HCM Access: The HRSC Staff Coordinator supports Boulder campus departments by managing Staff personnel transactions, position processing, payroll-related actions, and HCM security access processes within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This position ensures the accurate and timely processing of personnel actions while providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and payroll matters in compliance with university policies, Colorado State Personnel Rules, and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Process, review, and approve staff personnel transactions in HCM, including hires, transfers, promotions, career track changes, compensation changes, and additional pay.
• Manage position-related actions within HCM, ensuring positions are created, updated, and maintained accurately.
• Provide guidance to departments on staff personnel actions, position management, and payroll-related processes.
• Maintain employment records and supporting documentation to maintain compliance with audit and recordkeeping requirements.
• Conduct Length of Service (LOS) and Retention Rights reviews for Classified Staff employees in accordance with Colorado State Personnel Rules.
• Serve as the Boulder Campus HCM Access Coordinator.
• Assist requesters in identifying appropriate HCM security roles and required training based on job responsibilities and business needs.
• Review and evaluate HCM access requests to ensure requested roles align with security standards, business requirements, and compliance expectations.
• Partner with departments, campus partners, and system users to resolve personnel, payroll, and access-related issues while delivering excellent customer service.

Campus Resource for HR Initiatives, Changes, and System Enhancements: The HRSC Staff Coordinator serves as a campus resource for Human Resources initiatives, process improvements, policy changes, and HCM system enhancements. This position partners with departmental liaisons and leadership to resolve complex issues, improve operational efficiency, and support the effective use of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a main resource for campus departments regarding HR initiatives, process changes, system upgrades, and HCM-related inquiries.
• Partner with department liaisons and leadership to resolve complex personnel and transactional issues.
• Find opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline HR processes by evaluating alternative solutions and recommending best practices.
• Provide guidance and training on HR procedures, personnel transactions, and effective use of HCM and related systems.
• Investigate and resolve complex transactional issues using knowledge of personnel administration, recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and HR information systems.
• Communicate and support the implementation of new HR initiatives, business processes, and system enhancements.
• Promote consistent application of University policies, Colorado State Personnel Rules, and established HR business practices.
• Serve as a campus subject matter resource for HCM functionality, troubleshooting, and process navigation.

HRSC Outreach and Customer Service: The HRSC Staff Coordinator establishes and maintains strong working relationships with assigned departments by providing responsive, high-quality customer service and serving as a trusted HR resource. This position partners with campus partners to understand departmental needs, promote effective HR practices, and support the delivery of consistent and efficient HR services. Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain constructive, collaborative relationships with assigned departments and campus partners.
• Serve as a main point of contact for HR-related questions, providing timely guidance, support, and problem resolution.
• Assess customer needs and deliver services that meet quality standards and support departmental goals.
• Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction, finding opportunities to improve service delivery and customer experience.
• Partner with departments to address concerns, provide recommendations, and support effective HR operations.
• Represent the Human Resources Service Center as a member of the broader HR team.

What You Should Know

This is a hybrid position that works primarily in a remote environment.

The annual starting salary for this full-time position is $48,000.

• Knowledge of regent policy and classified state system.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience working within a state system.
