Dalton State College delivers a transformational education experience in a community serving more than 5,000 students through its two campuses and online programs. Job Summary
This position performs a variety of human resources functions, including administration of student employment, HR operations, payroll support, records management, and employee service programs. The position partners with employees, supervisors, and campus departments to provide responsive, accurate, and compliant human resources support that advances Dalton State College's mission and commitment to student success.

Responsibilities
Manages student recruitment and employment functions - 40%
- Maintains and updates employee records and HR systems to ensure accurate personnel, position, and employment data.
- Coordinates and processes student recruitment through the applicant tracking system.
- Enters and manages student employment data in the HRIS system.
- Coordinates orientation and required training for student workers.
- Processes employment-related documentation, including DOL Separation Notices and Verification of Work forms.
- Maintains student employment pay tier level assignments and related position records.
- Manages performance evaluation process for student workers and works closely with supervisors to assist.
- Supports administration of the student employment budget process by monitoring hours worked, tracking budget utilization, and communicating with supervisors regarding budget management and program requirements.
- Assists supervisors with timekeeping issues and student time approvals, as needed.
- Collaborates with campus partners to support student success initiatives and programs.
- Generates reports and conducts routine audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data and employment records.
Academic Affairs Payroll Support - 20%
- Updates employee records monthly for any supplemental payroll changes.
- Performs audits to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of payroll-related data.
- Collaborates with Payroll and Academic Affairs to identify and resolve payroll-related discrepancies and changes.
- Develops and maintains standard work processes, user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
Supplies and Purchasing Duties - 10%
- Maintains department inventory and coordinates the purchases of office and operational supplies.
- Processes purchase requests and submits invoices for payments.
- Provides input as requested for budgetary planning.
Variety of Related Duties - 30%
- Coordinates the administration of the College's workers' compensation program, including claim documentation, reporting, and communication with employees and third-party administrators.
- Administers the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and represents the College in systemwide TAP coordinator meetings.
- Coordinates dual appointment requests and serves as the College liaison for related system processes and procedures.
- Supports institutional ethics compliance activities and serves as a member of the Ethics Committee.
- Responds to oral and written requests for employment verification and salary verification.
- Prepares and maintains institutional organizational charts.
- Serves as primary point of contact for Human Resources by responding to inquiries, assisting visitors, and providing information and guidance to employees, applicants, and members of the public.
- Maintains Georgia Notary Public.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

- Associate's degree, or a combination of education and human resources experience.
Required Experience
- More than two years of related experience.
