Summary
The Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs (AVPAA) provides senior-level leadership for academic
operations, institutional integration, and implementation of strategic priorities within the Academic Affairs
division at Illinois Central College (ICC). Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs (EVPAA), the AVPAA collaborates with academic leaders, faculty, and College partners to translate institutional goals into effective academic processes, coordinated initiatives, and measurable improvements in student success.
AVPAA provides leadership and oversight for assigned academic operations, including curriculum and scheduling processes, instructional support, faculty development coordination, academic systems implementation, and continuous improvement. The position supervises designated functions and personnel, advances College-wide change initiatives, and exercises delegated operational authority as appropriate. The AVPAA fosters alignment across academic areas while respecting academic standards, shared governance, collective bargaining agreements, and established decision-making responsibilities.
Compensation for the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs starts at $107,952.00 and is commensurate with experience.
