GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Learning Assistant (LA) supports students' academic success and fosters a positive learning environment. The LA will work closely with learners to enhance instruction and provide individualized assistance. The schedule for individual Learning Assistants is variable and based on student demand.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Provide subject matter support to learners as well as general study skills
- Serve as a mentor and role model for learners
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Refer learners to appropriate resources and support services as needed
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and participation.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to learners struggling with course concepts.
- Answer learner questions and clarify course content.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Regular and consistent attendance at work
- Exhibit a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Attention to detail and strong time management and organizational skills
