Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating laboratory infrastructure and associated services across the Department, ensuring that research and teaching activities are supported by reliable, compliant and fit-for-purpose facilities. In addition, you will provide operational guidance on infrastructure-related safety matters, support statutory compliance activities and contribute to risk assessments associated with laboratory works, equipment installations and maintenance activities. The role may deputise for the Technical Operations Manager as required.

You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific or technical discipline, with experience managing laboratory, technical or facilities services in a research environment. You will bring strong organisational and communication skills, an understanding of laboratory infrastructure, building services and a collaborative approach to working with a wide range of stakeholders.
