Under the technical direction of the Program Dean for Physical Sciences, the Instructional Support Technician prepares multiple laboratories or classrooms following specified instructions for Chemistry, General Science, Geology, and Physics classes.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Works in consultation with faculty to design, construct, modify equipment, modules, and experiments.
• Coordinates support activities of many laboratories.
• Provides work direction for student helpers and staff.
• Orders departmental supplies and equipment.
• Maintains and inventories equipment, materials, supplies.
• May handle hazardous materials following DEQ protocols.
