The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists to join our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) as a Nocturnist (8pm-8am) at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.  The candidate will provide direct patient care, be a team leader, and provide teaching to Columbia medical students and residents. Opportunities exist for professional development in an academic medical center.
CPEP is comprised of 18 psychiatric emergency beds and 6 Extended Observation Beds. Other components of the CPEP include the Mobile Crisis Team and Crisis Bed Residence program. The CPEP provides culturally sensitive psychiatric emergency services to all members of the community, and also to people from other boroughs and states, seeking admission to our inpatient units for expert consultations and treatment.
This role includes opportunities for additional compensation aligned with the department's comprehensive compensation plan.

- MD or DO from accredited institution
- New York State License
- Active DEA License
- Board certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not essential
- Ability to work 8pm-8am shifts
