Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
Assess student performance and advise students on academic

Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts
to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to
market MATC.

Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
Maintain certification, continue professional development and
stay current in field.

Qualifications
Educational requirements:
Must have one of the following:
1. Associate degree in Automotive Servicing or in a closely related
degree* from an accredited college
-OR-
2. High school diploma with an Associate degree plan (Plan to
obtain an Associate degree in a related field* within five (5)
years of hire date. Fifty percent (50%) of the degree to be
completed within the first three (3) years of hire and the
remaining fifty percent (50%) completed by the end of the fifth
year.
* Related field include but not limited to: Diesel Servicing
{Per Higher Learning Commission Determining Qualified Faculty
Assumed Practice B.2.}
Occupational experience:
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of full-time or equivalent
(14,000 hours) experience in the field as a professional Automotive
Service Technician at a dedicated Automotive Service Facility. In
addition, one of the following must be met:
1. At least one (1) year (2,000 full-time hours) of work experience
must have occurred within the last five (5) years
-OR-
2. Two (2) years of teaching Diesel/Automotive
Servicing course work at the post-secondary level within the last
five years.
{One (1) year of teaching experience equivalent two (2)
semesters full-time or four (4) semesters part-time – per State of
Wisconsin Legislature Administrative Code TCS3 3.04}
Industry or vendor certification:
1. Must hold current ASE Master Technician certification in areas
A1-A8 & G1 along with Federal section 609 MVAC certification or
Master Tech Certification from a manufacturer dealership with plans
to complete ASE certification in A1-A8 & G1 and 609 MVAC
certification within six (6) months of hire date.
2. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
sufficient to be insured by MATC.
3. Must successfully complete an online defensive driving course
within the first year of hire.

SMART symposium, interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors,
DVD players and/or other classroom technology

emerging technologies (eg. social networking applications)
Supplemental Information
Start Date
This position supports the Manufacturing,
Construction, and Transportation Pathway and is available to start
in the Fall of 2026.
Hours
This position is a full-time, multi-campus position. Work is
conducted during scheduled based on business need. Course hours
will occur Monday - Friday. Work must be conducted in the state of
Wisconsin. This position will primarily work during the
evening shift, with the flexibility to work other shifts as
necessary.

Salary
Full-time faculty salary position is determined based on the
individual’s education and years of relevant experience and is
assigned to the appropriate salary class and step in accordance
with the applicable salary schedule. Compensation is prorated based
on start date.
