Instructor - Family Law
Position Summary
The Community College of Aurora is seeking an Instructor to teach Paralegal students in the subject of Family Law - Online in CCAs ABA-Approved Paralegal Program.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach the assigned class
- Maintain and update syllabus for the course included in the teaching assignment.
- Pursue continued professional improvement in subject matter, inclusive pedagogy and instructional methods.
- Support student activities, especially international and cultural activities.
- Participate in in-service programs and professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from a fully accredited college or university, or a practicing Paralegal in Colorado.
- Must possess a State of Colorado Career and Technical Education Credential in Business or have the ability to obtain such a credential prior to the second semester of employment. (Requires 2000 hours within last 7 years of professional industry experience in related legal field (1-year full time equates to approximately 2000 hours).
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the area of Family Law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fifteen (15) semester credit hours of teaching experience in a diverse learning environment.
- Experience teaching with technology, in alternative formats (online, hybrid).
- Experience with student learning assessment at the program level.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and skills via boards, supervisory roles, or relevant
Supplemental Information
Salary: Instructional hours will be paid at the current Instructor rate, which is $1,178.00 per credit hour taught. Instructors are paid on a biweekly schedule. Site training and coordination will be paid on a contract basis.
