Instructor I/II in the Department of Decision Analytics and Operations [Ref. R/280/25]
Duties
- Teach Business Statistics/Operations Management/Operations Research and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (including potential evening classes);
- Serve as subject leaders and course co-ordinators to provide leadership in teaching, course planning and the development of student projects and departmental programmes;
- Undertake teaching-related duties (such as providing learning support, organising student and professional activities to enhance the learning experience of students);
- Engage in professional networking and outreach activities to enhance the academic and professional reputation of the Department; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree plus a relevant MPhil/MSc degree with substantial professional experience. A doctoral degree is highly preferred. Ideal candidates should possess teaching experience at university level and be familiar with the university environment.
Candidates for Instructor I should have 4 years’ appropriate postgraduate full-time teaching experience. Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor II.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
