Position Summary
The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a 9-month Instructor (generalist) with a focus in elementary education to begin January 2026. Responsibilities include teaching education content and methods courses for preservice elementary teachers and engaging in professional and university service activities. This is a face-to-face position in Evansville, IN.
Duties/Responsibilities
The faculty member is expected to teach courses designed for education majors at the undergraduate level and engage in service-related activities including participation in departmental, college, and university committees and professional organizations. Although some courses are taught in distance education formats, applicants should expect an on-campus presence throughout their employment term.
Required Knowledge and Skills
A Master's degree in Education with a focus on elementary education or closely related field is required along with a minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience in a P-6 classroom setting.
