This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Instructor in Pediatrics is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation’s foremost academic health science centers is working together with one of the nation’s premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities are as follows:

• Role of Instructor and 4th year fellow in Motility at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital will include outpatient sessions, procedures and inpatient service in rotation (up to 3 weeks per year).
• Supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, clinical fellows
• Participation in weekly clinical and research conferences as schedule permits. This is a one-year position.
• Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical Licensce
• Must be Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines.
• The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other’s contributions
• The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.
