Instructor of Agriculture
Southern Arkansas University’s College of Science and Engineering is accepting applications for an Instructor of Agriculture position. The successful candidate will teach introductory-level plant science courses and labs, as well as related courses in plant science such as greenhouse management. Additional teaching responsibilities may include courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Duties: Teach upper- and lower-division plant science courses as well as courses in the candidate’s area of expertise; prepare, organize, supervise, and deliver hands-on learning labs that support classroom curriculum; engage in recruitment, retention, and other duties as assigned. The teaching load is expected to average 15 credit hours per semester
Qualifications: Master’s degree in an agriculture field required; university teaching experience preferred; ability to teach undergraduate students; excellent communication skills; ability to work well with others; have a strong desire to interact with students both inside and outside the classroom All SAU faculty and staff demonstrate a commitment to the value of all members of the SAU community, to excellence in interpersonal behaviors, and effective collaboration with colleagues.
