The Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho seeks applications for an Instructor in Special Education. This is a non-tenure track, academic year appointment. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate special education courses and collaborate with faculty, students, and K-12 partners. The position requires teaching a minimum of 12 credits per semester (fall & spring), participation in recruitment and departmental activities, and representing the program at professional, university, and community events.
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in special education
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement in special education programs
- Support programming to deliver grant-funded projects
- Collaborate with faculty, schools, and community partners to support special education initiatives
- Supervise teacher candidates during student teaching internship
- Participate in departmental meetings, recruitment events, and program outreach
- Represent the university in professional and community contexts
