Position Description
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions

• Instruct College Readiness/TSI courses in literacy, providing corequisite support aligned with college-level coursework.
• Design, plan, and deliver engaging lessons, workshops, and interactive learning experiences.
• Coordinate with core academic instructors to ensure College Readiness/TSI instruction complements core course objectives.
• Assess student performance, grade assignments, maintain accurate academic records, and provide meaningful feedback
• Participate in student outreach efforts, including summer orientations and ongoing support.
• Contribute to program assessments, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage in professional development and stay current in the field through continuous learning and research.
• Participate in campus and community events, and contribute to departmental and college-wide decision-making.
• Work with program leadership to implement and support the recruitment, training, and classroom engagement of TSI peer mentors in College Readiness courses.

Faculty Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• Minimum of three (3) years of instructional experience, preferably in adult education, high school, or junior high settings.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in English or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working with faculty, staff, and peer mentors in an educational setting.
