International Early Childhood Education Fellow

childhood education for periods of 4 to 8 weeks in Spring semester (March, April, May, and/or June) or in Fall semester (end of August, September, October, November, and/or December). Teach SVSU curriculum in classrooms of approximately 50 students for 12 to 24 hours per week. Participate in training on how to teach SVSU approved curriculum on early childhood education. Provide appropriate grading and assessment to classes. Provide administrative support, as required, for the Office of International office. Provide training support for other Fellows teaching classes or preparing to teach classes at Changchun Normal University. Serve as an ambassador from SVSU to students, faculty, and staff at Changchun Normal University. Other duties as assigned SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position will report to the Dean of College of Education SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This position will not supervise any other positions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Must be able to independently live and work in China for periods ranging from 4 to 8 weeks during scheduled workshops Must be able to write and speak English fluently Must be able to work very well with people of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Travel and/or lived aboard experience Experience teaching early childhood education or working in an early childhood education setting BENEFITS: International Flight from DTW to Changchun, China Housing All meals on CCNU Campus Cell phone Global Data plan for use while in China The teaching compensation package is very competitive NOTE: This position will be working in China or Michigan only
