Ⅰ. Sanya University Profile

University of Sanya (USY) was founded in 2005, located in Sanya City, Hainan Province, funded by Geely Group, one of the world’s top 500 companies, and is the fastest growing and most competitive private university in China. In 2016, Hainan Provincial Government and Sanya Municipal Government signed a contract to build US. In 2017, the university was awarded as one of the top 50 universities in China for innovation and entrepreneurship by the Ministry of Education, making it one of the few universities in China and the only one in Hainan with “double 50” status. The campus covers an area of 200 hectares, with a total building area of nearly 500,000 square meters and a total investment of 3 billion RMB. And approximately 20,000 students enrolled.

Ⅲ. Teaching Staff Criteria

1. Qualification
   The qualified candidates should be: under 60 years old;
2. In excellent physical condition; all applicants should take and pass the physical examination, no undesirable conduct.
3. professional and wholehearted commitment to teaching; willingness to cooperate with colleagues and departmental leaders is of utmost importance.
4. Teachers’ qualification certificate, TEFL, ESL or CELTA is preferable.

Ⅳ. Required Documents

1. Detailed CV
2. Copy of passport photo page and valid Visa;
3. Copies of relevant certificates and diplomas, esp. the highest degree (If the highest degree certificate is obtained at a foreign university, it needs to be certified by a Chinese embassy or consulate).
4. Recommendation Letter or Employment Certificate from the previous employers for all teaching experiences, to confirm the years of teaching experience.

Ⅴ. Payment Standards for All Positions

1. Salary: In line with the regulations of the Human Resources Department of USY and the candidate’s qualifications.
2. Housing Conditions: free apartment with one bedroom, living room and independent bathroom, well-equipped furniture and bedding.

4. Other Welfare: food, transportation, and water and electricity allowance; parties or allowance for all foreign teachers in major holidays; etc.
