Inventory Specialist Senior
Job Description
The Controller's Office, Fixed Assets Equipment and Inventory Services team, is looking for a new team member to play a crucial role in their responsibility for daily tagging activity related to high volumes of equipment acquisitions. This role involves traveling around campus to locate, tag, and ensure the accurate recording of new equipment, with an annual volume of approximately 10,000 items totaling $75 million. The specialist will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure efficient and compliant tagging processes, adhering to established guidelines and policies.

Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Customer service experience in a professional office environment
- Strong computer proficiency utilizing applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook
- Data entry experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively and diplomatically interact with various levels of faculty, staff and students
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and handle various tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business or related discipline
- Working knowledge of accounting databases such as Banner Finance or other large accounting database
- Experience creating ad hoc reports, performing data analysis and reconciliations
- Working knowledge of scientific/research equipment
- Fixed asset management or inventory experience
