Āu Mahi | What You Will Do As the IT Asset Optimisation Analyst within the Digital Services team you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of IT assets - from procurement and deployment to retirement - ensuring they deliver maximum value across the University.

In this role, you'll:

  • Analyse asset utilisation, performance, and cost data to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Build insightful dashboards and reports to support decision-making
  • Monitor software licensing, compliance, and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, finance, and operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of asset management processes and governance.

Mōu | Who You Are

You will at least 3 years' experience in IT asset management, business analysis, or IT service delivery, as well as being able to demonstrate:

  • A customer-centric, service-obsessed mindset and comfortable with agile and lean ways of working.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with strong communication skills
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, ideally with tools such as Power BI
  • Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management, ITIL practices, and licensing models
  • Experience with ITAM/CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Snow, Lansweeper, SCCM)
  • Familiarity with Data analytics techniques and tools (e.g. PowerBI)
  • An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

It is also desirable if you have qualifications in ITIL Foundation Certification or higher, Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., CITAM, CSAM and experience with cloud-based asset management and optimisation
