Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

You will provide high-quality, responsive IT support and research computing assistance to the School of Psychology, Speech and Hearing. Working closely with the Systems Manager, you'll maintain a reliable computing environment and support teaching, research, and administration across the School.

You'll design and deliver computer-based experiments using tools such as PsychoPy and E-Prime, provide programming support for Qualtrics surveys, and streamline administrative processes. You'll also assist with IT systems maintenance, AV support, and general desktop troubleshooting for staff, students, and visitors.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative research and teaching, while continuously improving systems and services within a collaborative and forward-thinking academic environment.

Mōu | Who You Are

You are a skilled IT professional with at least five years' experience in desktop support within a Windows environment. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

You will also have the following:

• Competency in Python programming and an eagerness to learn new tools and software
• Proven ability to gather requirements and deliver effective, reliable technical solutions
• Experience with hardware setup, troubleshooting, and software deployment
• Familiarity with Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, SCCM, and Intune (advantageous)
• Experience supporting audiovisual systems and IT asset management
• An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology (NZQA Level 7) or equivalent relevant experience is required.
