Jewish Student Life Coordinator
The Jewish Life Advisor and Assistant Director to the Rachel Lord Center for Religious and Spiritual Life supports the Jewish community on campus by fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant environment for Jewish students. This role involves advising student organizations, coordinating cultural and religious programs, and serving as a resource for students exploring Jewish identity, culture, traditions, and spirituality. The Assistant Director collaborates with campus partners, local synagogues, and organizations to develop programs, and create opportunities for connection.
This position also supports the Rachel Lord Center for Religious and Spiritual Life by creating and supporting interfaith programing, developing student leaders, encouraging spiritual inquiry across a variety of student organizations, and working with students to create moments of meaning-making. By working closely with student leaders and student employees, this position works to create opportunities for students from a variety of faith traditions to share with one another their traditions, beliefs and culture.
OPTIONAL Live-on Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly walk-throughs of all residential spaces documenting concerns. Be available and responsive to the needs during residential emergencies. Be present for the opening and closing of residential spaces. Be available for three weeks per semester for Administrator on Call rotation. Be present during college-declared weather emergencies. Volunteering for evening or weekend events when needed by other offices.
The hiring range for this position is expected to be: $55,660 - $59,340

Education/Skills Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents:
1-3 years related experience required. Knowledge of and respect for traditions, culture, and practices across different Jewish religious movements. Experience working with college students or adults aged 17-25 in a mentoring or advisory capacity. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students. Demonstrated experience in Jewish education. Previous experience in Jewish communal life, student affairs or non-profit leadership preferred. Familiarity with residential college environments.
