About the Department

The John M. Pfau Library is the main library for the San Bernardino campus. Because we're a commuter campus, the library is usually buzzing with activity in the daytime, but quiet on evenings and weekends. The Helene A. Hixon Information Resource Center is a one-room library at the Palm Desert Campus, about an hour and a half away from the San Bernardino campus. Currently we have 12 library faculty and 16 staff, plus 1 staff member at PDC. One of the best things about working here is the friendly and collegial group you would be joining.

CSU employees are unionized; separate unions advocate for the interests of faculty and staff.
