About the Job

The Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health (ISGH) in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking applicants for the Joycelyn Elders Endowed Chair in Sexual Health Education. This is a tenured or tenure track position that we anticipate filling at the Associate or Full Professor level, although we will consider an advanced Assistant Professor. The position entails directing, developing, and expanding the sexual and gender health education activities of ISGH. The faculty member will serve as Director of Education for ISGH and be responsible for medical school curriculum, graduate school curriculum (two master's degrees and several graduate certificates), postdoctoral fellow training, and other educational courses and activities. This position also involves developing and maintaining an active research program and collaborating in leadership toward our mission to promote positive sexual and gender health at the local, national, and global levels.

Candidates should be recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in sexual health education and/or sexual and gender health. They should have training and experience in sexual and gender health education and research. Applicants will need to present evidence of research and significant scholarly work.
