Advertisement for post of JRF

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with a consolidated salary @ Rs 37,000/- p.m. plus HRA. The selected candidate may get an opportunity to register for the PhD program of IIT(BHU) subject to fulfillment of the norms of IIT(BHU). The candidate will work in a BRNS, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India sponsored research project entitled “Graphite Aerosol studies in High-Temperature Aerosol Facility for Nuclear Reactor Applications”. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.

Essential Qualification: B.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/ Allied areas with valid GATE Score in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering. The candidate should have a minimum of 75 % marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 scale) at the bachelor’s degree level.

OR

M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering /Chemical Technology/Allied areas with GATE Score in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering. The candidate should have a minimum of 60 % marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 scale) at the master’s degree level.

OR

Master’s degree in Physics/Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/Environmental Science with  NET/GATE or any National-level scholarship. The candidate should have a minimum of 65% marks or 6.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level and a minimum of 60 % marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level.

The candidate should have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
