It was established in June 1960 by the Government of India and later named in honor of engineer, planner, and statesman, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project sponsored by DST-SERB, under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Biswas, Department of Applied Mechanics, VNIT Nagpur.

Title of the project: Assessment of Durability properties of UHPFRC and application of Integrated Metaheuristic Algorithm with Artificial Neural Network for predicting the properties

Duration of the project: The appointment will be given initially for six months, which is extendable for another six months up to maximum of 03 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier, solely based on satisfactory performance of the candidate

Note: As per Institute Policy, the JRF candidate may be considered for Ph.D. program as per the applicable rules. Candidates interested to extend their JRF to the Ph.D. program as per VNIT rules will be preferred. The posts will be co-terminus with the duration and requirement of the project.

Project position & no: JRF, 1

Fellowship amount: Rs. 37,000/- per month consolidated (for the first 2 years), Rs. 42,000/- per month consolidated (for 3rd year)

Eligibility requirements: Gate Qualified (Mandatory) with M.E. / M. Tech. in Structural Engineering / Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering / Earthquake Engineering / Structural Engineering related specializations / Civil Engineering / Civil Engineering related specializations with a good academic background.
