Junior Research Specialist - Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (Jiam Lab)

Service. Candidates interested in working in the lab for at least two years are preferred. Specialists appointed at the junior rank must possess a bachelor's degree, preferable in a scientific discipline or at least four years of research experience. Applicant's materials must list qualifications upon submission. Applicants must have obtained the degree requirement for the junior rank by the time of hire. Our laboratory studies hearing in humans and computational science. The ideal candidate will have prior research experience in biological/biomedical sciences or related fields, especially related to hearing, deafness, cochlear implantation, computer science, and auditory development. Job duties include database management, IRB compliance, subject tracking, data analysis, and subject recruitment and stewardship. Prior experience with statistical analysis and manuscript writing is preferable as well. Finally, this position is best suited for someone with enthusiasm for research and translating research findings into clinical applications.
