STATUS: Part time
DEPARTMENT: Corporate & Community Services
DIVISION: Academic Affairs
REPORTS TO: Community Education Coordinator, Corporate & Community Services
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
MINIMIUM PAY RATE: $17
(Position is FWS Eligible)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with Lifelong Learning summer programming, specifically Kids College Camps.
- Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being and happiness of participants
- Assist with promotion and coordination of programs and events.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current High School or College Student
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
- Must be available to work at all JJC campus locations and provide own transportation. (Mileage to satellite campuses will be reimbursed.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education student, and/or interested in a career in teaching
- English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Demonstrated multicultural competence.
WORKING Conditions
Normal Office conditions and indoor/outdoor athletic court/field conditions
Full Time/Part Time: Part time
Union (If Applicable):
Scheduled Hours: 20 hours per week- Monday-Thursday
