Recruiting and scheduling participants
Maintaining a participant family database
Coordinating relationships with local collaboration sites such
as children’s museums
Data management and analysis
Implementing online and in-person studies (study
preregistration, IRB submissions, study programming)
Running participants through studies
Supporting a positive research group culture
Conducting literature searches
Assisting with the preparation of conference abstracts,
manuscripts, and grants
Other duties as assigned
The Lab Coordinator will have the opportunity to be directly
involved in research, to earn authorship on journal articles, to
attend research conferences, and to participate in other
professional development activities.
This is an on-campus position. Funding for this position has been
approved for one year with the possibility of extending to a second
year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a
related field or an equivalent combination of education,
experience, and training.
- Prior research experience in psychological science.
- General computer skills and statistical software experience
(such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, R, Qualtrics).
- Exceptional organizational skills, interpersonal skills,
communication skills, quantitative skills, and attention to
detail.
- Intellectual interest in the labs’ research areas.
- Demonstrated commitment to work within a diverse environment
and interact openly with individuals of different backgrounds.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a developmental psychology lab using experimental
methods.
- Programming skills.
