Position Summary
The Cavalli laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience in St. Louis is looking for a temporary Laboratory Assistant I/Glasswasher. Responsible for autoclaving and washing glassware used by laboratories and assisting with laboratory duties in a research setting.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collects glassware from the laboratories, washing all glassware and/or plasticware in the washer. Some containers, spatulas and other small items have to be washed by hand.
- Returns clean glassware to the laboratories.
- Picks up and delivers Department mail from post office and distributes to employee’s mailboxes.
- Autoclaves bottles, cylinders, pipettes tips, etc.
Working Conditions:
Work around detergents.
