An exciting opportunity to lead a part-time, online Safety and Risk Management Masters programme which attracts students from across the globe and a portfolio of related CPD. The post would suit someone with experience in the HE-sector, a knowledge of occupational health & safety theory and who would relish the opportunity to take SCOSH forward.
FTE: 1 (35 hours/week)

The Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL), part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has delivered an online, part-time Masters programme in Safety & Risk Management (SRM) for over 30 years. It is well regarded in the sector, carries IOSH accreditation and attracts students from across the globe. In addition, the SRM Team also offer a range of CPD options including the IOSH Managing Safety course and the AUPRO Certificate in Radiation Protection and wish to see this area evolve and grow.
The Strathclyde Centre for Occupational Safety and Health (SCOSH) launched in May 2023 ‘houses’ all the above activities creating a brand for this area of CLL’s work. This new post will provide leadership of the postgraduate programme and CPD offerings and will guide the strategic direction of the safety, risk and workplace wellbeing provision within SCOSH. You will lead a team of part-time tutors and work closely with CLL’s Operations Team and Head of Centre to take the SCOSH offering forward.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-respected Masters programme and a portfolio of safety-related CPD all with potential for growth within CLL. A Centre which prides itself on its people-oriented approach and proactive and commercial track record. The post would suit someone with experience in the HE sector, specifically around teaching and learning and a knowledge of occupational health and safety theory.
