- Minimum QualificationsExperience with Supplemental Instruction (SI) or classroom facilitation.
- Experience with tutoring or other academic support roles.
- Demonstrated appropriate and professional behavior.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.
- Demonstrated level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Demonstrated proficiency working in an online learning environment.
- Basic computer literacy with the ability to use video conferencing software like ZOOM .
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and/or experience in a tutoring program.
- Knowledge of academic and academic support needs of community college students
- Ability to demonstrate courtesy, tact and discretion in dealing with students, faculty, staff, and the local community.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to respond with judgment and discretion to common inquiries or problems.
- Preferred QualificationsPrior SI Leader experience at Bay College
- Ability to support multiple campuses
- Experience providing feedback on classroom facilitation.
