Responsibilities
- Teach courses at the undergraduate nursing level with clinical responsibilities. The teaching load will consist of 24 to 30 credit hours (based on nursing contact hours) per academic year.
- Advise students using Banner/DegreeWorks each semester for the subsequent semesters, assist with graduation applications, mentor students, and assist with career placement
- Actively participate and serve on committees in the college, school, and community
- Participate in other appropriate service and professional activities related to the field of expertise
Required Qualifications
- Must have an unencumbered Georgia or multi-state compact registered nurse (RN) license
- An earned Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, Doctorate preferred, in the field of expertise
- Applicants must provide evidence of a minimum of three years' nursing experience
- To teach Licensed Practical Nurse students, Georgia Board of Nursing mandates a minimum of three (3) years of practice as a registered nurse within the preceding seven (7) years (Rule 410-9-.07 #2-a-2).
