Part-Time Faculty: Nursing - Fall 2026
Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing invites applications for part-time faculty to provide clinical supervision for undergraduate students for the Fall 2026 semester. Opportunities exist primarily at long-term care facilities.
As a part-time faculty member, this position requires one day per week clinical commitment for a 15-week semester. Both weekend and weekday shifts are available. Teaching opportunities for more than one day per week are also available within the undergraduate nursing program.
Experienced and new nurse educators are encouraged to apply. QU Nursing is highly collaborative and supportive and offers mentorship and training to support our nurse colleagues who are new to clinical education.
Responsibilities
- Educating and supervising undergraduate students in the clinical setting
- Working with course coordinators to supervise pre-licensure students in achieving course outcomes
- Evaluating student clinical performance and written work
Education Requirements
- Required: master’s degree in nursing
- Required: unencumbered RN or APRN license in Connecticut
- Current or recent clinical practice
Qualifications
- Currently practicing in a clinical setting or educational environment
- Experience with teaching students in clinical nursing desired
- Ability to demonstrate effective teaching in the clinical setting
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
