Responsibilities:

• Conduct cutting-edge research in biomedical engineering with a focus on either: Intelligent medical systems (AI/imaging/sensors), Biomedical instrumentation & embedded solutions
• Teach one or more core courses from: Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Medical Image Processing, Embedded System Design

Flexible specialization – We welcome experts in either:

(1) Computational biomedicine or (2) Medical device development

Requirements:

1. Core Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree completed prior to appointment
• Academic achievements meeting/exceeding university recruitment standards
• Priority given to expertise in one of more areas below: Medical hardware/device R&D, Medical electronics, AI/ML applications in biomedicine, Neural engineering (BCI/EEG/rehabilitation), Biomedical big data analytics

2. Rank-Specific Criteria:

• Distinguished Professor: Field-defining research impact, Internationally recognized leadership, Transformative contributions to biomedical engineering
• Full Professor: Sustained excellence in research, Strong national/international reputation, Proven track record of innovation
• Associate Professor: PhD + postdoc experience at leading institutions, High-impact publications, Demonstrated research potential
• Lecturer: Minimum 2 SCI Q2 publications, Industry R&D experience valued (2+ years preferred) if publications criteria not met

Distinguished Professor: Annual salary 900,000 to 1.2 million RMB (≈126,000–168,000 USD), Research funding up to 10 million RMB (≈1.4 million USD), Settlement allowance up to 2.5 million RMB (≈350,000 USD), Additional housing benefits, Bring personal research team.

Full Professor: Higher-Tier: Annual salary 600,000–900,000 RMB (≈84,000–126,000 USD), Research funding up to 6 million RMB, Settlement up to 1.5 million RMB; Standard-Tier: Annual salary 300,000–600,000 RMB, Research funding up to 3 million RMB, Settlement up to 600,000 RMB; Additional housing.

Associate Professor: Annual salary: 250,000–400,000 RMB (≈35,000–56,000 USD), Research funding: Up to 1 million RMB, Settlement allowance: Up to 300,000 RMB.

Lecturer: Annual salary: 170,000-320,000 RMB (≈23,800-44,800 USD), Research funding: 60,000-300,000 RMB, Additional benefits: Negotiable (including housing support).
